I’ve worked with actors who booked the job and spent the whole first day on set waiting for someone to tap them on the shoulder and send them home. Nobody did. They’d earned that spot. They just didn’t believe it yet.
Here’s what I think is going on. Sometimes imposter syndrome shows up because your career has moved faster than your identity has. You’re standing in a bigger room, but part of you is still the actor who couldn’t get a callback.
So the doubt isn’t saying you’re not ready. It might be saying you’re somewhere new.
And the answer isn’t to get so successful that you never doubt yourself again. I’m not sure that actor exists. The goal is to stop letting doubt decide what you do next.
In this one-hour, $5 class, I’ll show you why that “they’re going to find me out” voice isn’t the truth, how to stop explaining away your own wins, and how to walk into the audition, the meeting, or the set even when the doubt walks in with you.
