This class will delve into the (all too common) challenges of auditioning  with poorly written scripts. When do you “throw away” the clichés and when do you “lean into" them? How do you find a kernel of truth when the character is a stereotype on the page? And simply, “Who talks like this?”

We’ll do script analysis, learn how to personalize even the worst texts and figure out how to BOOK WORK with words like this. 

Actors will be asked to bring in their worst film, tv, industrial and commercial scripts beforehand and we’ll break them down and find truth in performance. Against all odds….
